Very well appointed kitchen and the ability to have more than one gathering area was very helpful if your party included different ages. We visited end of Feb. and the weather co-operated, so that was icing on the cake.
This is a great home! It was the perfect space for the adults and children. It also helped that the weather was beautiful. I will for sure stay here again!
Every year, the Girl Scout troop that I lead plans a big deal overnight trip to celebrate the end of the year and as a big reward for another successful cookie sale. Usually we go to Great Wolf Lodge, but we changed it up this year and booked a weekend at The Miramar House. Let's put it this way - one night at Great Wolf cost us roughly the same as a weekend at Miramar, so we were already doing better than usual!
The house itself is amazing. Seriously. We came with four adults and 16 kids between the ages of 7 and 17, so we rented the main house plus one of the downstairs rooms that sleeps 12. It couldn't have been set up better and it's PERFECT for large groups.
Everything you could possibly need is stocked in the house - towels, linens, extra tables, even bikes to take out. There are board and card games, DVDs and Blu-Rays, deck chairs to set out on the balcony and a firepit to sit around in the evening. The kitchen is so well stocked, you're never going to want to leave - all you need to do is bring your own food and you'll find every possible way to cook it.
All of the girls want to come back next year - and I think we will be!
If you have a need to facilitate a large group, this is the place. We have stayed here on more than one occasion and are already booked for a stay next year. The downstairs "barracks" as the kids have dubbed them are perfect for the kids to go and have a slumber party, with plenty of room for the adults to enjoy the upper level. Walking distance to the beach, and a beautiful sunset from the deck await you!
My extended family of 13 made a trip out with kids as young as 2 and as old as 10. My family over packed, prepared for our meals. Turns out, the Miramar house had everything we brought and MORE! I brought my waffle maker ($30) and they had TWO professional waffle makers. My sister in law brought her crockpot and they had TWO crockpots (larger than hers.) We forgot candles for my mom's birthday cake…lo and behold, they had candles. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and the ease and space it gave our individual families. It came fully stocked with clean linens and pillows and everything felt so clean and fresh. We fully utilized the fire pit 2/3 nights we were there. We did have to buy our own firewood at the corner store for a fairly high price, but such is vacation spots. :) The owner was so kind as to let us utilize the downstairs as well! An amazing space, EXACTLY for our families needs. The kids were playing in the fully fenced backyard, downstairs in the pool room or watching TV both upstairs or down or playing in the loft in the small closet/ "man cave" that some chose to sleep in. :)
The sunsets were amazing from the large wrap around porch and even better from the loft.
During the nights, the loft was very hot and stuffy and there are no windows to ventilate catching the breeze from the ocean, so bring a fan. :)
We rented this house in June 2016 for a family reunion to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. This place turned out to be the perfect place! There were 30 of us... and there were beds for all, places to spread out, AND plenty of towels!!! We played ping pong, pool, foosball, watched tv/movies, had a fire in the pit, played card games, and more. The beach was a quick walk away. The kitchen was great once we figured out where everything was and we were able to make meals easily. The house was clean and decorated simply. We felt very comfortable here. The owner responded quickly when a shower stopped draining.
This was a perfect home for a large group or family get together. We easily fit 10 adult men in the house. The property faces the ocean (it is not an oceanfront property) and there is an amazing balcony with great views. The ground floor has a huge garage, ping pong, foosball, large refrigerator, and bedroom(s). The walk down to the beach was less than 1/4 mi. The main floor has a large kitchen, an even larger living room, bathroom and a nice balcony.
The property is located just several miles from the the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino and roughly 10 mins north of downtown Ocean Shores. All in all, we were very happy with the property and would return in the future!
We knew when, our 62nd wedding anniversary weekend - we knew where, somewhere between Ocean Shores and Copalis - and we knew how many, 31-35 persons - we just didn't know the exact housing that would meet all our requirements. We found it! The Big Red House, Miramar, at Ocean City. The property met or exceeded every expectation. The furnishings are first class and it can handle 30-37 people easily with dinnerware, plates, glasses and cooking utensils, etc. all provided. We would do it again in a heartbeat. The owners were gracious and promptly responded to every enquiry. Appropriate as a retreat center as well as for large families. Highly recommended.
This house is really amazing and Ron is so easy to work with! We ended up renting one of the extra bonus bunk room so our kids could have a place to sleep and play and it was perfect for our family reunion. We don't have a huge family but half comes Washington and half from Oregon so this was a perfect place to meet. My 90 year old uncle was thrilled with his master bedroom! The house is completely stocked and has everything you could need! Being we went in November the ping pong/pool table came in very handy to keep us busy as well! I will for sure be renting this house again in the future! The only thing it was missing was a huge hot tub but I can look over that! :) The property faces the ocean (it is not an oceanfront property) and there is an amazing balcony with great views and is walkable to the corner store and the beach! Couldn't be a better location! You would he shocked at the amount of plates and glassware! Plus there is a full closet of table and chairs if you want to sit and dine as a group. I would totally suggest this house for parties for 10-37! Not sure there are many other homes out there like this what will fit your needs like this one! Thank you and till next time!
My brother booked this house for our family to have Christmas together. It was amazing! 14 adults and 15 kids aging from 6 months to 13 years old all kept busy and had an amazing time. The house was very accommodating and had enough room for everyone. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The owners even decorated with trees, lights, and an Elf on the Shelf! The upstairs living room was large enough for our family meetings and talks in the evening and the downstairs TV room was big enough for our kids to put on a play for the adults. Beds were comfortable, there were extra pillows and blankets in the master bedrooms and in the bunk rooms. The kids had a blast with the Foosball table, board games, and movies. The adults spent a lot of time around the ping pong table and in the kitchen.
The house is right next to the beach and had super easy access for us to drive around and a short distance to Ocean Shores where we went for church. This house helped make Christmas one of the most memorable for our family. We couldn't have been more pleased with the home and location. The owners were also really prompt to answer any questions or concerns that we had while we were there. They even sent someone out to reset the septic alarm on Christmas eve!
Our family will defiantly be back to make more memories. Thank you so much Miramar House!!
We had a great stay at Sand and Sea. We enjoyed being so close to the north end of the beach and still only a short drive to town. There is an ocean and sunset view from the porch! The home is set up nicely with each bedroom having their own bathroom. There is plenty of space, plenty of off-street parking, and a well-stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back and would recommend! The owner, Ron, is very kind and easy to work with. He is very hospitable and ensures each guest has a pleasant stay. Thanks for a fun weekend!
We started our family vacation at a nearby rental that was subpar, but when we noticed this rental became available we immediately switched our booking and it literally saved our vacation! Ron, the owner, was so prompt in responding to our booking and very pleasant and accommodating. The layout of the house was ideal for several families with small children, and it was clean and safe for all. The kids had fun riding scooters on the paved drive that also had a gate for added peace of mind. The beds were so comfortable and ocean view was superb! We would highly recommend this property and would love to book here again in the future!
This home was super comfortable and provided all the necessities and the extras. 2 coffee makers, rice cooker, crock pot, waffle maker, blender, coffee grinder, bbq grill, comfy beds and bedding! All super clean, The beach is visible from the patio but it is pretty far. We have small kids so we always drove to the beach, however it would have been walkable if we didn’t have so many items we wanted at the beach. If we come back to ocean shores we will definitely try to stay here again!

Our daughter wanted to go to the beach for her 6th birthday so we gathered some friends to join us on a trip to the Pacific. I found this townhouse on VRBO and called the owner to book - he answered immediately and was very nice to deal with (they also own the larger Miramar House). The value you receive for this house is fantastic - we had 4 families with no feeling of overcrowding. The front room, I believe to be a converted garage, is a great space for the kids to play and watch movies. The beds are very comfortable and the linens and pillows are soft. There is no shortage of dishes or plush towels (beach towels are also available!) and there was even laundry soap for the full-size washer and dryer, K-Cups for the Keurig, DirecTV with DVR, a brand new gas grill, and branded travel soaps and shampoos. The beach is an easy drive from the house (you can drive on the beach so it is easier to take your stuff in your car) and the fun of Ocean Shores is only 10 minutes way. The house was immaculate when we arrived as well so the cleaning fee is put to good use. We will be back for sure!! Thanks, Ron!
My family really enjoyed our stay at Sand & Sea. The place was clean and well stocked with towels, TV'S, and kitchen utensils. We would stay there again. I attempted the walk to the beach with my 2 year old grandson through the back yard which was way too difficult for a toddler. The drive just a short distance was a much better way to enjoy beach time.

This was a great house. Plenty of room. Nice firepit area for relaxing in the evening as well.
I booked this property for an annual fishing trip. We had 5 grown men staying here for 6 days. Plenty of room for everyone. Close to Ocean Shores.
